Non-Automatic licensing to Protect public morals; Protect human, animal or plant life or health; Collect trade statistics or market surveillance; Protection of patents, trademarks and copyrights, and the prevention of deceptive practices; Pursue obligations under the UN Charter and other international treaties (i.e. CITES, Basel Convention, Rotterdam Convention, UNSC Resolutions etc.)

The purpose of the above measures is to remedy negative impacts of the Covid-19 outbreak, to adjust the use of foreign currency, and to ensure the fair and equitable application of import licenses and administration.

The above measures (19/2023) will apply starting from 22 June 2023 instead of 1 June 2023. The effective date changes in order to use the Myanmar tradenet 2.0 system without any delay and to be able to use the system more easily for importers.
